Sevin + Emily: Beautiful Sunny Wedding in Houghton, MI

Collage of images from Sevin and Emily’s Wedding in Houghton Michigan

First wedding of the season! Yessssss!

Emily and Sevin are married! And I am beyond happy that these two finally made it to their wedding day! Planning a wedding during these crazy COVID times has proven be a challenge in so many ways, but nevertheless Emily and Sevin problem-solved, compromised, and adjusted to the (what seemed like weekly) changes in COVID policies with determination and focus.

And it all paid off! Their wedding day was beautiful from start to finish and full of so much joy! We all had such a fun time traveling around Houghton and the beautiful surrounding area as we got to finally celebrate these two tying the knot.
Also, I just have to say that these two have so many close friends and family that are just a joy to be around. I hardly had a moment where I wasn’t smiling. It was easy to see how much love and care went into every part of the day. It truly was a family and friend affair.

Beautiful and DELICIOUS cake made by Shelby Turnquist! I may have snuck myself two pieces because who could I pick between chocolate strawberry and red velvet?

I was so impressed with Emily for getting these beautiful velvet ring boxes for her rings.

Wedding couple posed forehead to forehead in front of Houghton Michigan’s portage lake lift bridge. Groom is wearing light grey suit and light brown shoes, bride is wearing beautiful mermaid style white gown with lace detailing, no sleeves, and sweetheart neckline.
I was so happy we were able to capture the lift bridge! One of the coolest things about Houghton, Michigan.
Sevin proving that he’s a master of ‘the nuzzle’ and making Emily smile.

I for one love how masks bring focus to the eyes of my subjects….;)
Emily and Sevin are so blessed to know people who own fields! Makes throwing them into them much easier 🙂

Special thanks to my second shooter who held a defused disk during these pictures by the lake. Without him we wouldn’t have been able to capure these special portraits without being blinded by the sun!

Thank you Dunkin Donut’s for letting us use your parking lot…;)
