Toby + Meagan: Sunny Lakeside Wedding in Florence, WI.

I am so excited to share Toby and Meagan’s sunny lakeside wedding with you all! A cabin by the lake, dreamy bridesmaids dresses, and a gorgeous lace detailed wedding dress? This wedding had everything a photographer could ask for! From the beautiful weather all day to to the amazing people I got to meet, I was loving everything about this sunny lakeside wedding.

I arrived at the ceremony location and was so happy to see that it was just as beautiful as I remembered it. I was so lucky to get a ‘sneak peek’ of the location as Toby, Meagan and I had photographed their engagement session there just a few weeks prior. It is so amazing that the owners of this beautiful property were willing to let Toby and Meagan use it for their wedding. It was beyond perfect and fit so well with Toby and Meagan’s vision for their day. Welcoming, beautiful, and with a view to die for, this spot was every bride (and photographer’s!) dream.

Not only was the ceremony location ideal, but the bride and her tribe had such a luxury location to get ready in! A big beautiful window letting in some of the best natural light I could ever hope for, space for everyone, and AIR CONDITIONING! Truly an ideal set up. It was so fun getting to pop in and capture the amazing friendships and family bonds in that room as they all got ready. It was easy to see why Meagan chose each one there to be a part of such a special day. They all seemed to blend seamlessly into one amazing group of pure fun and energy, making my job of capturing genuine smiles and laughter extremely easy.

After the bride was done getting ready, we were able to rush down and sneak in a first look before the ceremony. I’m always SO happy when a bride and groom choose a first look. It’s always just such a sweet and tender moment and a perfect way for them to just BE TOGETHER on their wedding day. I love seeing the reactions and getting to have more freedom to capture such precious moments in a more private setting.

When the first look was done, it was show time! Guests started to gather and sit down. Beautiful antique wooden doors opened to the ceremony space decorated with soft green eucalyptus stems in glass jars, rustic wooden stumps, and a stunning handmade ceremony arch. It truly was a beautiful and sunny lakeside wedding fit for a bridal magazine. And, while the highlight of any wedding ceremony is, of course, the moment the bride and groom are finally officially married (I LIVE for those first kiss pictures!), this ceremony also had an amazing “flower girl” that threatened to steal the show with her Gangdum Style entrance. Truly. Epic.

The next part of the day allowed me to capture how amazingly well Toby and Meagan did in picking out their wedding party attire. Groomsmen never looked so handsome and bridesmaids never looked so stunning. I loved the soft dusty rose bridesmaids dresses and each different style of dress looked so good on each individual bridesmaid. The light gray suits for the groomsmen compliemented the girl’s dresses so well and their matching ties truly earned their name by ‘tying’ it all together….(haha…ok, I’m a mom of four kids, please allow for one lame ‘dad’ joke. Forgive me!).

The reception that followed took place at the open and airy Florence Fairgrounds. I loved how beautiful it was made to look with soft green leaves trailing across tabletops and glass bottles filled with white flowers serving as eye catching accents. The head table had a beautiful white backdrop with long cascading vines of soft green leaves tumbling to the floor. Every detail was so perfect.

Honestly, the entire day was perfect. A perfect and sunny lakeside wedding for a couple who found their perfect match. Toby and Meagan, thank you both SO much for letting me come and be part of your amazing group of friends and family. It was such an honor to capture such beautiful and precious moments.

Enjoy your forever together!

Ther personalized hangers were so BEAUTIFUL!
SPARKLES!
This ring box for the ceremony was SO beautiful and I LOVED the look of the moss.
The best flower girl anyone could ask for 😉
It didn’t take much to get true heart-felt genuine laughter from this crew!
Time to get into the dress!
Bride dressed in a white wedding dress with a lace overlay standing in front of window with her mother who is dressed in an emerald green jumpsuit standing right behind her.
Meagan with her amazing Mom who has THE MOST AMAZING hair. We may or may have not discussed hair curling techniques and my recent attempts at the ‘curly girl method’. I’m so jealous of her natural curls!
Waiting to see his bride for the first time….
First look!
YES!! Love it!
So thankful that these two got a few minutes to themselves before the ceremony. <3
The detail of this dress was just SO beautiful. The geometric designs with the Victorian style lace patterns were just so unique and gorgeous.
Ceremony time!
Choreographed dance to “Gangnam Style”: Check. Perfect flower petal distribution: Check. Being the one to raise the bar for every flower girl from here on out: Priceless. 😎
I loved this Celtic “Handfasting” ceremony! Toby and Meagan’s children each came up and tied a strand around Toby and Meagan’s hands to symbolize the binding of their lives together.
Sealed with a kiss! <3
I think they’re happy that they’re finally hitched!
The whole crew!
These guys looking like they’re straight out of a wedding magazine.
I always thought navy was my favorite groomsmen attire color…but I think I’m a light grey fan now…it just looks so good!
These bouquets were SO beautiful!
ALL the kisses!! On the left, we have Meagan with her daughter and sister (matron of honor, and on the right Meagan is with her maid of honor.
Loved this veil! This was just such a classic bride look and was SO beautiful on Meagan.
How to know if you gave a good speech 🙂
The cupcakes were as good as they look…frosting that wasn’t too sweet and the fresh strawberries were just *chefs kiss*…perfection!
The father/daughter dance always gets to me…especially when the Dad starts tearing up like this. I just can’t even…
Seeing Meagan’s reaction to Toby bringing out Meagan’s daughter during the father daughter dance was everything. <3
Her eyes just steal the show whenever she’s looking at the camera.
Pure Joy.
